Amy Smith got her start in graphic design right out of college working for daily newspapers. She joined the National Center for Appropriate Technology in 2005 where she has worked ever since. Her specialty is print, and she designs everything from logos to conference displays, books, cards, infographics, and everything in between.

Amy received a BA in graphic design and fine arts from Montana State University. While attending college, she worked as a wildlands firefighter during the summers to help pay for school. She grew up hiking the mountains of southwest Montana where she learned to appreciate art in the patterns of nature.

Amy lives with her husband and two teenage sons in Anaconda, Montana. She enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and making rosehip tea.
